Make a plan. Set up a routine schedule that allows you to workout at the best time for you. Track your progress. When coming to classes consistently, monitor the reps you complete and the weight you use, if you are in a fitness class. For yoga class, pay attention to how much stronger and firmer feeling the asanas are. Notice the range in your flexibility. It is important to ask for help too. Another perk of being in the class room setting it having someone there to assist you one on one. The clarity sought will boost confidence in your practice.

Again, in a previous blog we talked about the benefits of coming to classes. While going to the gym is definitely a good way to keep a balanced fitness routine, it is important to switch things up. Yoga allows you to us different muscle groups then what you would use just at the gym. Yoga increases flexibility and stamina. It requires more endurance because we often hold poses, rather than just doing the motions like when you lift weights. You are also under the guidance of an instructor, who is able to give you corrections and more advance levels. At Oxygen Yoga we also have the far inferred which you just can get in any other work out environment. It gives you that complete body detoxification.

Make sure you are keeping up with your health outside of class as well. This will also in crease your productivity in class. Eating a balanced diet is not just to lose inches, it is too keep well functioning body. There are many professionals out there who can give you proper information on what food you should eat to maintain your health and energy levels. Diets are very individual what works for one person may not work for another. It is also very helpful to keep a food journal, so you can see where there maybe types of foods that do not agree with you, or reduce your energy levels. You may need to take supplement to fill in for anything thing you might not get in your regular diet. Just be sure to get the information from a health care professional. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. Fatigue can be caused from dehydration, so keep sipping on water throughout the day, not just during class. Incorporate electrolytes as well, like coconut water or BCAA’S (again ask a professional on which ones would be good for your body or lifestyle).

A 20 – 30 minutes walk either on a lunch break or before class can get the blood flowing again which is also very good for getting your energy levels up. If you find you are losing motivation or inspiration to be in the class room, find a friend to go with you and make a day of it. Sometimes the hardest, most unenjoyable part is just getting there. Once you get there and have finished the class you will feel re-energized and motivated. Find motivating videos of fun yoga or fitness routines. Get inspired by your teachers or other students in your class. At the end of the day the only person that can help you keep up the energy and work hard is you. It will be worth it in the end.
