2-Week Rapid Weight Loss Plan

On the weekend is when I tend to watch TV because really it’s my only downtime during the week, so I was scanning through my DVR and decided to watch a marathon of Dr Oz.  I don’t know if many of you watch Dr Oz but I really love his advice because he has no paid endorsements and his information is usually pretty cutting edge, especially for traditional medicine.

Anyways for the New Year he has developed a weight loss program for his viewers, and I really wanted to share it because it basically follows all the tips I outlined last week.  I would dare to say this is almost the best diet plan (for losing weight) I have ever come across and it’s free!

Dr Oz had a audience of women who all followed the plan strictly and over 2 weeks they lost on average 9lbs, some as many as 15lbs which I think is a crazy amount, they were all classified as overweight so if your only looking to lose a couple pounds it probably won’t come off as quickly, although you could easily lose 5lbs in the 2 weeks if you followed the program strictly. Plus it doesn’t include any exercise so you could get results even faster if you included a workout regimen.

Here are the guidelines, and if you want the complete meal plans, recipes and shopping list go the Dr Oz website and search “: Dr Oz’s 2-week rapid weight loss plan one-sheet”

What to eat:

Wake Up: Start your day with cup hot water and ½ lemon squeezed, the lemon helps to speed your metabolism and acts a cleanse for the liver.

Protein: only one 6 oz. serving of meat per day (fish, chicken, turkey)

Carbs: ½ cup of cooked brown rice- no other carbs or starches

White sugar

Alcohol L

Caffeine (except green tea)

Dairy (except a bit of greek yogurt)

You Must:

Take a probiotic each morning (50 Billion)

Take a multi vitamin

Detox bath (2 cups Epsom salt & 1 cup baking soda)

This diet doesn’t list calorie counts, but with what your allowed to eat I would think it would be between 1200 and 1400.

If you are trying to lose weight I think it’s a great resource, and if you try it let me know how it worked for you.
