OXYGEN YOGA AND FITNESS WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH Yoga TEACHING OPPORTUNITIES AFTER GRADUATION!
Oxygen Yoga studio’s have 21 locations in British Columbia and growing, including,Vancouver, Tri-cities, Fraser Valley, Kelowna, Chilliwack and the Lower Mainland.
Costs for yoga teacher training varies from school to school, city to city. These variances can be for many different reasons including the experience of the head instructor, the lineage or style of yoga taught, and how many students are allowed into the class.
To make sure you don’t waste your money, be sure to do your research and ask the school many questions. A few important aspects that you want to look for are the qualifications of the head instructor; of course the more experienced the better! It is also important to make sure the school is registered with Yoga Alliance, which would make them a RYS (Registered Yoga School). It is also a good idea to ask what elements of yoga are emphasized during the training. A good school will be well-balanced and included all the aspects of yoga.
However, schools might focus more on mediation while others really focus on the anatomy and alignment of the postures. Of course you want a well-balanced school that has a focus on the parts of yoga that you are most interested in and want to teach.
On average, schools charge anywhere from $12 – $25 per contact hour. A contact hour is an hour of training that you spend with the instructor and the yoga teacher training class, with no other people (no general public). In a RYS 200-hr. course there are 180 hours that are required to be one-on-one with the instructor.
This means a yoga school could charge anywhere from around $2,800 – $4,000 per course.
O2 Yoga Teacher Training has a few different program options and thus our price vary slightly. However, our course run anywhere from $2,650 – $3,300. Please contact Christina Raskin to find out what course works for you!
